About
Evan Foley is a composer for multimedia specializing in creating original music for film, television, video games, and advertisements. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and studied music at Georgetown University before moving to New York to pursue a Masters Degree in Screen Scoring at New York University.
Evan found his passion for composing music to picture in 2018 after interning at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans where he worked for and studied with composer Jay Weigel. Under Jay’s tutelage, Evan was accepted to NYU’s prestigious Screen Scoring program in 2019, where he further developed his compositional skills, studying with composers Chris Hajian, Jamie Lawrence, and many other accomplished industry professionals. In 2020, Evan scored numerous short films, including The Mandalorian: Chapter 5 1/2 – The Prophet (written, directed by Joe Teddick), The Bathroom (written, directed by Emma DeMuth), Special Delivery (written, directed by Jonah Cloer), and The Voyager (written, directed by Kylan Tyng and John Chiodi).
After graduating from NYU in 2021, Evan moved to Los Angeles where he currently works as an assistant for film and television composer Sherri Chung.
Evan is also a co-founder of The Brew Canoe, a music company offering custom music production for live streamers on Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms.
